  • 8 oz white chocolate, finely chopped
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • Red food coloring (a few drops)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp fine granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup fine granulated sugar
  • Red gel food coloring

Instructions

  1. Prepare whipped cream by whipping heavy cream, vanilla extract, and sugar until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, combine whole milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, white chocolate, and mini chocolate chips. Heat over medium-low until melted and simmering; avoid boiling.
  3. Stir in red food coloring until desired tint is reached. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream.
  4. To create sugar blood, combine corn syrup, water, and sugar in a small saucepan and heat on medium without stirring until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage). Stir in red gel food coloring and dip glass rims into the mixture.
