  • 2 tbsp espresso powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a stainless steel pan over medium heat, brown the cold butter for about 10-12 minutes until it has nutty aromas. Transfer to another bowl.
  3. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips to the browned butter and stir until melted. Let cool slightly.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, and salt.
  5. In another mixing bowl, whisk eggs and sugar on medium speed until fluffy.
  6. Gradually mix in the melted butter-chocolate mixture.
  7. Gently fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  8. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
