Ingredients

  • Lasagna noodles
  • Ground beef
  • Marinara sauce
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Eggs
  • Fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef with minced garlic and diced onion until fragrant. Stir in marinara sauce and let simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, eggs, half of the mozzarella, half of the parmesan, and season with salt and pepper until smooth.
  4. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer with meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and remaining cheeses. Repeat layers twice.
  5. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 20 minutes until golden. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
